Power House Waterfall originates from the Sita Devi Lake in Devikulam and cascades down about 18 km away from Munnar. You’ll come across this gurgling beauty on the way to Thekkady. The green mountain ranges and tea plantations attract everyone to stop and take a break.

Monsoon, however, isn’t the best time to visit Power House Falls. Instead, visit the place in the months following monsoon, around winter. Winter in Munnar comes around November and remains until February. And it is the best season to see Power House Falls in Munnar and the surrounding places.

By Rail – Aluva is the nearest railway station for Munnar, which is about 120 km away. And it has regular trains from the major towns and cities around. From the railway station, you can get a bus or cab for Munnar. Coimbatore (150 km), Ernakulam (120 km), and Madurai (170 km) are the other railway stations near Munnar which have nation-wide railway connectivity.

By Air – The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport, about 120 km from Munnar. And it has flights from many places in India and abroad. You’ll find regular flights from Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and many other cities. The airport also has flights from countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka and UAE. Coimbatore and Madurai airports are the other airports in the neighbourhood.
